Schelymar Salgado is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with a Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with
specializations in education and Organizational Behavioral Management (OBM). Her career
aspirations include advancing in the field of ABA and enhancing her skills to better support
children and their families.
Schelymar has diverse experience working with children aged 2 to 14 years in clinical, home,
and school settings. She has supported children with a range of diagnoses, including autism,
ADHD, severe depression, and anxiety. Her work focuses on providing personalized, effective
interventions to help each child thrive.
Her favorite aspect of the job is witnessing clients acquire new skills, whether in communication,
social interaction, or daily living. She finds this both heartwarming and professionally satisfying.
Schelymar’s personal philosophy is that “If you work hard for the life you want and don’t fully
achieve it for some reason, you will at least have the satisfaction of knowing you came as close
as possible.”
In ABA, Schelymar is particularly enthusiastic about creating personalized behavior intervention
plans (BIPs) tailored to the individual needs and strengths of each client. She eagerly
anticipates the opportunity to observe and support behavioral improvements and positive
impacts in her clients’ lives.
Outside of work, Schelymar is a devoted parent to two children and enjoys being spontaneous.
She has a fondness for the color green, coffee, and the ocean, and cherishes time spent with
friends and family. Originally from Puerto Rico, Schelymar has been in Florida for just over six
years and continues to dream and work towards making things happen in both her personal and
professional life.
