Mission Statement

Hidden Potential is dedicated to supporting children with developmental disabilities and their families. We help children reach their full potential by providing individualized support and education designed to improve their lives at home, in their educational setting, and throughout their community. We know that families are an integral part of this success, and all caregivers are active members of their child’s team. Hidden Potential utilizes the principles and techniques of applied behavior analysis to guide the process and meet the unique needs of each family.

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA is the scientific approach to understanding and changing behavior. ABA focuses on determining the reason for behaviors, reducing undesirable behaviors, and teaching more appropriate skills. ABA can be used to teach any behavior and is often used to improve specific behaviors related to communication, social skills, independence with self-care, and school participation.

about us

Hidden Potential is a BCBA-owned agency dedicated to training exceptional candidates to work with families. All staff are extensively trained and supervised in person regularly. We believe families should expect a high level of services whether provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Behavior Technician.

We work with children in natural settings like their homes, schools, and daycares. Even center-based services promote generalization by creating a natural preschool setting where children can learn the skills to be successful in their neighborhood daycares and schools.

We believe caregivers are an integral part of the process and active engagement and feedback are needed to reach maximum success. Parents and other caregivers are encouraged to be a part of the process from the start and have open dialogue with their therapy team. Together we will unlock your child’s hidden potential!

our process

When seeking ABA services, the process will begin with an assessment completed by a BCBA. After a thorough assessment, a comprehensive treatment plan is developed to address your child’s needs. You child and family will get 1:1 ABA therapy targeting the reduction of problem behaviors and teaching functional replacement skills. Progress is monitored throughout the process and updated as needed. Parents, teachers, and all pertinent people in the child’s life are encouraged to participate. The length of time spent in ABA depends on the severity of the problem and individual rate of improvement.
