Registered Behavior Technician
Samantha SlaterSam was born and raised in South America but has also lived in Miami, New York, Ft. Lauderdale, and now Orlando. She’s a Pre-Nursing major at the University of Central Florida.
Before attending UCF, Sam worked as a private swimming coach for young children, including those with disabilities. She also worked as a receptionist for a non-profit organization that provides group and individual therapy across multiple disciplines, one of which was ABA. Sam felt drawn to the children and earned her Registered Behavior Technician credential in 2021 to enable her to work directly with special needs children.
Sam has experience working with individuals with ASD, Bipolar Disorder, and ADHD. She’s worked with children 2 to 16 years old in homes, schools, daycares, and clinics. Sam believes everything happens for a reason and there are no failures, only mistakes to learn from. Her favorite part of ABA is being part of each child’s progress and development.
She is a car enthusiast, self-taught mechanic, dog mom, wilderness explorer, Disney fanatic, avid beachgoer, and bookworm. She loves to travel and hopes to visit as much of the world as she can.
