Alyson O'Connor, MA, BCBA
Alyson is a dedicated and compassionate behavior analyst with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. Throughout her career, Alyson has worked extensively with individuals across the lifespan—from ages 2 to 60+—and with a wide variety of developmental needs, including autism, intellectual disabilities, and developmental delays.
Her diverse experience spans across a range of settings, including public and private schools, clinics, home environments, and adult day training programs. Alyson’s breadth of experience has allowed her to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each person she works with, making her a versatile and effective practitioner.
What truly drives Alyson in her work is seeing others learn and grow. Whether working with children, parents, teachers, or other professionals, she finds great fulfillment in helping others acquire skills and achieve their potential. Her personal philosophy is to always put in the work to ensure that she is proud of what she does, and to live her life with integrity and purpose. She also believes that finding time to enjoy life outside of work is essential to maintaining balance.
One of Alyson’s favorite aspects of applied behavior analysis (ABA) is that it combines two of her greatest passions: science and helping others. ABA provides a structured, evidence-based approach to making meaningful improvements in individuals’ lives, and Alyson is proud to be a part of this impactful field.
When she’s not working, Alyson enjoys spending time with her family—her husband (also a behavior analyst!), their two children, Audrey and Patrick, and their dog. A lover of reading, Alyson is particularly fond of historical fiction and has a passion for exploring new places through travel.
Alyson is excited to continue her work in the field of behavior analysis and is committed to making a difference in the lives of those she serves.
