Registered Behavior Technician

Calvin Kocienda
Jennifer Blair
Calvin Kocienda is a Registered Behavior Technician with a diverse background and a strong
commitment to helping children achieve their full potential. He earned a Bachelor of Science in
Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2021, but his passion for making a
direct impact in the lives of others led him to pursue a career in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Calvin is currently working toward a Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis and Clinical
Sciences at Rollins College, with the goal of becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst in the
future.

Calvin has several years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. He
volunteered with his mother at Refugee Transitions, a program that assists refugee families, and
spent five summers as a camp counselor. Calvin also worked as a clinician at Lindamood-Bell,
where he helped children overcome academic difficulties to succeed in school and life. As a
Registered Behavior Technician at Acorn Health, he primarily works with children ages 4 to 6,
providing treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

One of Calvin’s favorite aspects of his work is creating and analyzing treatment plans, as it
allows him to tailor interventions that best support each child’s needs and track their progress.
He finds great satisfaction in knowing that his work directly contributes to the positive
development of his clients.

Calvin’s personal philosophy is simple: “There is no such thing as a bad person.” He believes in
the potential for growth and change in everyone and strives to see the good in others. In his
work, Calvin enjoys helping clients find their voice and their place in the world, fostering a
supportive and understanding environment.

Outside of work, Calvin is an avid traveler, having explored several places in North America,
Europe, and Asia, with plans to visit Africa next. Calvin was raised in San Jose, California, and
is currently in Florida pursuing his master’s degree.

Calvin is excited to continue his journey in Applied Behavior Analysis and is dedicated to
making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children he works with.
